I recently got engaged, when should I schedule a consultation to discuss flowers?

Congratulations on your engagement!  Flower Parade recommends scheduling a consultation 6-12 months (depending on the season) prior to your wedding, once such details as bridesmaids’ dresses and ceremony and reception venues have been selected.  However, if we still have your date available, we can handle large events with only 2 weeks’ notice.

What should I expect during a consultation?

Lots of questions! For instance, how do you envision your wedding? Romantic, elegant, simple, or modern? What are your favorite flowers? Least favorites?

Initial consultations run approximately 1 to 2 hours. We will discuss your vision, venues, colors, themes, and budget. It is extremely helpful to bring along swatches of the dresses and photos of your venues, as well as any magazine clippings of flowers that have caught your eye. These items make for a more productive consultation and accurate price quote.

After our consultation is over we will provide you with a beautifully detailed and illustrated quote that will help you visualize your special day.

What do you get when you hire Flower Parade to do your wedding flowers?

The great service doesn’t end with the initial meeting. Once you hire us you get unlimited personal attention through the day of your wedding. If you have any questions or changes, we make ourselves accessible to you by phone or email, any day of the week. Also, we will revise your quote an unlimited number of times, until you feel comfortable with what you’re paying for.

Do you require a minimum?

There is no minimum. However, $500-$700 is generally enough to cover simple personal flowers for the average sized wedding party.

How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?

Although we cannot give accurate pricing without a consultation, the typical Flower Parade client should look to spend between $2,000 and $10,000 on florals, with our average bid coming in around $4,000. This will vary from couple to couple, depending on factors such as guest count, seasonality of flowers, color and style. Flower Parade recommends the following guideline depending on the amount of flowers envisioned and the total guest list:

Simple – $10 per guest
Elegant – $20 per guest
Decadent – $30+ per guest

How do I go about booking Flower Parade for my wedding? And what is your payment policy?

A non-refundable 30% deposit is required at the time of booking which assures date reservation. The full balance is due one week prior to your wedding date. Flower Parade gladly accepts cash payment, personal and cashier’s checks, Interac, Master Card, VISA and American Express

Am I allowed to make changes to the price quote once I book?

Absolutely! We just ask that any major changes be made no later than four weeks before the event date and any small details such as centerpieces count be finalized no later than 15 days prior to your event.

I see that you’re located in the GTA. Do you travel?

Yes, please! We would love to drive or fly to deliver and set up your wedding flowers. Please contact us for details if you are outside of the GTA.
